MonkeyCam help: starting your first match, camera and mic fixes, skip and report, coins and payments, and privacy controls — in plain language.

Starting your first match

Open monkeycam.me in any browser — phone, tablet, or laptop, no app and no sign-up at the door. Allow camera and mic when the browser asks, and tap once to start matching. You are paired with one person, always 1v1, never a group room. Not in a camera mood? Text chat works from the same place, and voice chat is the middle step.

Camera or mic not working

Nine times out of ten it is a permission. Check the browser’s address bar for a blocked camera icon and allow it, or open your browser settings and reset permissions for monkeycam.me, then reload. On phones, make sure no other app is holding the camera. Still dark? Try another browser — it narrows the problem down instantly, and support can take it from there.

Matching, skip, and Next

The matcher pairs you randomly with whoever is online right now — there is no directory and nobody can pick you. Skip ends the current chat instantly and finds the next stranger; it is normal etiquette, not an insult, and nobody is notified or told why. If the same kind of match keeps missing the mark, switching between video, random text chat, and voice changes the crowd you meet more than any setting does.

Block and report

Block ends a chat and keeps that person away from you. Report ends the chat and sends the context to human review — use it for guideline violations: anything involving minors, recording strangers, harassment, money requests, spam. Reporting costs you one tap and protects everyone who would have matched that person after you.

Coins and payments

MonkeyCam costs nothing to get going — the matcher, your first sessions, and text chat are all on the house. Coins buy longer sessions and extras. They are a one-time purchase — no subscription, nothing auto-renews — and prices are shown before you confirm. If a coin purchase went wrong, contact support with the approximate time and amount; never send your full card number, we will not ask for it.

Privacy controls you already have

Camera and mic permissions can be revoked any time in your browser settings. There is no public profile for strangers to browse, and a match exists only inside its own chat. Your habits finish the job: keep identifying details out of the frame and the conversation, and treat anything on camera as something a stranger could keep. The privacy policy has the full data picture.

Still stuck?

Write to us through the contact form or at [email protected]. Include your device, browser, what you were doing, and what you expected instead — that combination solves most tickets in one round. A human reads everything, and payment or privacy requests always get a reply.
